Panama, March 12, 2024 – The Panama Convention Centerer (PCC) hosted Expocomer, Expoturismo Internacional, Expologistica, and Expofranquicias for the third consecutive year, generating over 250 temporary job opportunities in areas such as catering, operations, security, among other services, for an amount of more than $70,000 USD, thus benefiting Panamanian families.
With these exhibitions, the PCC strengthens its commitment to contribute to the socio-economic development of the country and promote meetings tourism through a circle of progress that impacts several stakeholders. This positions Panama as an emerging destination and business hub, highlighting its crucial role in the international landscape.

The impact generated by the PCC through these events is evident in various sectors such as hospitality, gastronomy, commerce, and transportation. The arrival of attendees from different countries leads to an increase in the demand for local services, thereby producing a considerable economic impact.
Expocomer, as a multisector fair, connected Panamanian and international entrepreneurs and buyers from over 30 countries. In addition to facilitating business, the fair also held ExpoTech to explore digital trends and innovations. Furthermore, Expofranquicias promoted franchise investment opportunities, Expologistica provided access to a select audience of logistics experts, and Expoturismo Internacional together brought tourism companies of all sizes offering innovative services.
This March, the PCC is also hosting the congress of the Panamanian Society of Oncology for healthcare professionals and Let's Meet by Meetings Panama, which connects professionals and experts in accessibility matters.
It is important to highlight that, in addition to being a business hub, the Panama Convention Center stands out for its commitment to sustainability by incorporating ESG criteria into its management, thus raising the standard of events choosing Panama as their venue. In this regard, since January 2024, it has implemented a 'zero plastic use' policy, actively contributing to waste reduction, decreasing environmental pollution, and preserving ecosystems in the country.
