Panama City, August 09, 2024 – From August 21 to 23, the Panama Convention Center will host the XXVIII Hemispheric Congress for the Prevention of Money Laundering, Financing of Terrorism and Proliferation of Weapons of Mass Destruction. This important event will bring together international experts, government authorities and representatives of the financial sector to discuss strategies and best practices in the fight against these crimes.

The congress, organized by the Banking Association of Panama, will feature the participation of prominent speakers and panelists from across the hemisphere. Topics to be discussed include the latest trends in the prevention of money laundering, the financing of terrorism, and measures to control the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction. Additionally, case studies will be presented and interactive workshops will be held to promote training and skill development among attendees.
For three days, participants will have the opportunity to attend keynote conferences, round tables and networking sessions, facilitating the creation of strategic alliances and strengthening international cooperation in the fight against financial crime and weapons proliferation.
