More than 300 thousand dollars were injected into the Panama Convention Center during the first quarter of the year.

Panama, May 15, 2023- The Panama Convention Center (PCC) has contributed significantly to the economic and tourist development of the country, as demonstrated in the results obtained in the first quarter of the year. During this period, the PCC generated 1 direct and indirect jobs, leaving an economic benefit in the Panamanian families of more than 300 thousand dollars approximately. In addition, it received more than 55 visitors who attended a variety of national and international events, which contributed positively to the country's tourism sector.

It is important to highlight that, during this first quarter, the PCC has hosted important international events, thus consolidating its position as a benchmark in its sector, contributing to the promotion of Panama internationally.

These events have attracted experts and leaders in various areas, which has generated an exchange of knowledge and enriching experiences for the company and the country in general.

The Panama Convention Center plans for this 2023 to hold a total of 108 events and receive more than 130 visitors. It is important to highlight that, at the end of 2022, the PCC generated more than 3,702 direct and indirect jobs, leaving an economic benefit of 800 thousand dollars, thus promoting a circle of progress for Panama.

This is a reflection of the PCC's commitment to offer high-quality experiences to its clients and visitors, attracting a wide variety of events and conventions from various sectors, including business, technology, science and sports, Del Valle added.

We can mention that so far in 2023, the most outstanding events have been the Annual Assembly of Governors of the Inter-American Development Bank, the Our Ocean 2023 Conference and Expocomer, thus promoting meeting tourism in the country.

As a Convention Center, the PCC is a key piece for the development of Meeting Tourism, which has a significant impact on the socioeconomic development of the country, since it promotes the generation of employment, contributes to the economy, promotes education and exchange. of knowledge.
