More than 200 indirect jobs were generated by the Panama Convention Center during the Latin Tire Expo

Panama, June 14, 2023 - The Panama Convention Center (PCC) reaffirms its commitment to promoting meeting tourism by hosting the outstanding international event Latin Tire Expo. The event that took place from June 14 to 16 had the participation of more than 7,000 visitors with more than 23,000 m2 of exhibition area and more than 800 exhibitors.

"The attendance of more than 7,000 visitors at the Latin Tire Expo has been an exciting milestone for the Panama Convention Center. We are proud to host one of the most anticipated events in the automotive industry in Latin America, demonstrating the power of meeting tourism to drive the socioeconomic development of Panama. During the celebration of the Latin Tire Expo at the Panama Convention Center, approximately 200 indirect jobs were generated, providing job opportunities for numerous Panamanian families. These jobs not only provided income for workers and their families, but also contributed to the growth of the local economy.

The Latin Tire Expo is recognized as one of the most important events in the tire industry in Latin America. During this edition, the latest innovations and technologies in the sector were presented, attracting manufacturers, distributors and professionals from the world of tires. The event provided a unique space to establish business contacts, exchange knowledge and explore new business opportunities.

In addition, the event attracted more than 7,000 national and international visitors, who enjoyed the hospitality and excellent facilities of the Panama Convention Center. Event attendees were able to experience first-hand the quality of PCC's facilities and services, further consolidating the center's reputation as a premier destination for meeting tourism in Latin America.

It is important to highlight that the first quarter of this 2023, the PCC generated 1,730 direct and indirect jobs, leaving an impact on the country's economy of more than approximately 300 thousand dollars. In addition, it received more than 55 visitors who attended a variety of national and international events, which contributed positively to the country's tourism sector.
