Panama, June 4, 2024 – With a firm commitment to the sustainability and socioeconomic development of Panama, we are pleased to announce the signing of a historic agreement between the Panama Convention Center (PCC) and the Circuito del Café Foundation. This agreement underscores our dedication to promoting sustainable practices in both tourism and coffee agriculture.
The signed agreement allows us to diversify our tourism offer and increase the international visibility of our country, while supporting the promotion of the Coffee Circuit.
“We are excited to create synergies between convention tourism and coffee tourism, positioning Panama as a comprehensive tourist destination. This collaboration reflects our vision of sustainable and diversified tourism, which benefits both the local community and international visitors. Therefore, we are proud to announce that the Panama Convention Center will host the Coffee World Cup in 2026. This global event is a unique opportunity to showcase the quality of Panamanian coffee, attract visitors from all over the world and increase income for our local economy. ”, said Rodolfo Del Valle, general director of the PCC.
Currently, we are working in close collaboration with different entities to ensure that this event is a success and benefits both the tourism and agricultural sectors of Panama. This agreement is a clear example of how collaboration can drive socioeconomic and sustainable development.
The agreement seeks to ensure that the integration of the Panama Convention Center into the Coffee Circuit not only increases the influx of tourists, but also promotes greater recognition of Panamanian coffee worldwide. Our objective is for this agreement to generate long-term benefits, strengthening Panama's country brand in the field of coffee and tourism.
